“Having used Siam Costumes on several occasions I can plainly state that the overall price of the work was app. half that of the UK. The quality of the work was well up to what was expected. Siam have craftsmen cutters and tailors available in Bangkok, who understand period cutting and tailoring and produce excellent work. Using carefully constructed check sheets, Siam take you through the myriad of combinations available on style, features, shape, finish etc. for each garment, thus leaving (hopefully) no room for error / disappointment. The vast selection of fabrics available are very clearly shown, again on well thought out swatch sheets. Delivery of the finished goods was always made before or on time”

“… As the Costume Designer on ‘Power Games’ which was a mini-series set from 1960 to 1974, it became obvious that I was going to need a lot of 1960’s men’s suits made for the show. There just weren’t enough around to rent. Darryl’s business ‘Siam Costumes’ was the first choice. I had been recommended his services by a couple of people that I respect. Film making always has such tight time frames, but we managed to fly to Bangkok, meet with Darryl, talk through what I wanted, choose fabrics, return to Sydney, start sending through measurements, and everything got done in time.
Darryl was helpful, co-operative, friendly, and above all, professional. He made 60’s suits, shirts, trousers, waistcoats, waiters jackets, and blazers. The quality of the suits, and fabric, and cut was superb. His knowledge is vast. He supplied a fabric swatch folder, well in advance, which made the process quite easy.
